Fitting your 700C Ebike Kit: BasicFit
Will the UK’s best-value eBike kit fit your 700C bike?
The BasicFit ebike kit is specially designed to work with the majority of traditional UK bikes. However, you must double check that your bike has 10cm storage space between its forks and 1cm dropouts in order for it to fit properly.
Additionally, standard pedal cranks are necessary as they provide a 4mm gap required by the magnetic PAS sensor which needs be fixed securely onto your frame and aligned correctly next to the disc.
Help on Fitting a PAS Sensor
Like many basic ebike kits, including Swytch, you will need to install a PAS sensor to your 700C bicycle.
Unlock your two-wheeled potential with a PAS conversion kit – it’s designed to take you from traditional pedal power to electric biking! Our kit uses magnets similar to what Swytch has created, but installation can be tricky. In order for the sensor and crank arm magnetically click together properly there needs enough space between them, otherwise fitting may get difficult. Don’t worry though if this happens – we have an easy-to-follow video tutorial that helps even first time users work through any issues they might face while installing their new bike upgrade or seek out help at a local shop expert. With just some basic problem solving skills (or extra guidance) you’ll soon enjoy all the benefits of having an ebike on demand!

Riding your bicycle with an ebike kit installed is easier than ever! The first step towards installation is the pedal assist sensor. Most bikers require a standard 12 pole magnetic disc, which attaches easily to their crank before mounting it into place. For those who do not have compatible cranks for this type of sensor, internal PAS sensors are available and can be purchased from Amazon or your local bike shop – some even provide tools needed for removal. With just these few steps installing a new ebiking system has never been so simple!
